About Rachel

Being  raised in a household with 8 siblings and having many extended family members has  had its benefits.  Being the second eldest gave me the mothering heart that I needed to keep bonds within my family, especially while difficulties and divisions were raised. Along with having to learn how to deal with many different people in one household, my family also moved around a lot growing up. While some of my siblings found it difficult and sometimes frustrating to re-establish and fit into a new life, I found the challenge intriguing and exciting!

From an early age I have learned how to adapt to life changes and how to get along with people of all backgrounds. I love people! God really made us all unique and amazing beings!

Being a mother of 6 has also giving me a few tips on how to nurture the individual needs of members while building a good family structure. Now, I am not saying I have done it all right! I have made many mistakes along the way, but honestly, that is how we learn the best sometimes, through our mistakes AND being honest when we make them.

I believe that good communication can grow healthy relationships. My experience with sitting on boards & committees, event planning, building a business, having to learn how to network, put together public presentations and fundraising grants, have all taught me communication keys, that I want to share with you!

Throughout the years I am constantly learning new communication keys. I love to learn, observe and connect.  My involvement in my own community and within my business and volunteer work strengthens my gifts and ability to connect people and groups within what I do. I am  known as the community HUB because I am involved with so many arenas that people will forward my name and contact info to others who are looking for a certain resource, or business to use. I have to admit, I LOVE being able to do that for others! I am good at what I do, because I love what I do.

I know how important community is. From having to rely on community when I am in need and when I need to be apart of a community to help others, I know that is where personal & professional growth happens, in community.
